[SPEAKER_01]: I am your in doing string hoats Matt's Roca as always.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm joined by the button that we're Josh Roca.

[SPEAKER_00]: I met just a few seconds ago.

[SPEAKER_00]: I thought this is going to be a more exciting show Yeah, like it still could be we got it's where we're coming to you in the top of the ninth inning

[SPEAKER_01]: down four to three against down and backs on Tuesday night.

[SPEAKER_00]: So was that that well we we had to know that Jeremiah Jackson magic of five straight up bats wasn't gonna it wasn't gonna last forever.

[SPEAKER_01]: Well we got uh yeah and Jeremiah Jackson showed that last year's got some sneaky pop.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yes but coming up the ninth we got Blaze and Gunner and

[SPEAKER_01]: and Ward.

[SPEAKER_00]: So, right, I got the top line.

[SPEAKER_00]: I believe it's a, uh, there's a lot to write behind them or Barcelona, Alonzo.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: So we still got a chance.

[SPEAKER_01]: Alonzo seems to be seeing the ball a lot better.

[SPEAKER_00]: Certainly he does.

[SPEAKER_01]: He come run.

[SPEAKER_00]: He got any got some, he got a couple doubles before then.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yep.

[SPEAKER_00]: So it seems like he's starting to click.

[SPEAKER_00]: He walks tonight.

[SPEAKER_00]: He's in the ball well.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yep.

[SPEAKER_01]: I was talking to, this is like two weeks ago.

[SPEAKER_01]: Let me ask you a question.

[SPEAKER_01]: How was that a birthday party?

[SPEAKER_01]: And first of all, Emily and I got in a fight because this is a little bit complicated, but the situation was, Fay was invited to a birthday party for one of her seven-year-old friends.

[SPEAKER_01]: All right, how do parties work at seven-year-olds?

[SPEAKER_01]: Drop-off or stay?

[SPEAKER_01]: That, this is about the fight, it was about.

[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_01]: because I didn't think twice about it.

[SPEAKER_01]: I walked in with Fay.

[SPEAKER_01]: Make sure it was, you know, everything was on the up and up.

[SPEAKER_01]: Their other best friend was there.

[SPEAKER_01]: So it was like the three, they're like the three amigos.

[SPEAKER_01]: They were all there.

[SPEAKER_01]: Did you look around at other parents?

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I looked to see if there were other parents.

[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_01]: And it was family members, but no parents.

[SPEAKER_01]: Just like family.

[SPEAKER_01]: All right.

[SPEAKER_01]: That makes a little trickier and more difficult to figure out.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I say it for about five minutes and it was clear that I was good.

[SPEAKER_01]: I felt clear to me that I was good to go that they had things that they had things in order.

[SPEAKER_01]: There was extended grandma was there extended family, but there was no, none of the other did you say anything to the family members like I'm good to go or.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, why, I said, hey, I'm gonna leave.

[SPEAKER_01]: What time should I come back to pick her up?

[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, and that's also a response.

[SPEAKER_01]: And the response was, anytime, four or five, let's really like, very big window.

[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, did you say, is it okay that I leave?

[SPEAKER_01]: Or just said, I'm gonna leave.

[SPEAKER_01]: I just said I'm gonna leave.

[SPEAKER_01]: Now, Caroline, the birthday gosh, I'm gonna use names here.

[SPEAKER_01]: Let's just hypothetically Samantha.

[SPEAKER_01]: She said, you can go now.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's been it that, like, why are you still here, go? [SPEAKER_01]: And so I was like five minutes and then I left and then I called Emily and we're like, I cannot believe you just dropped her off. [SPEAKER_01]: We don't know the family and we don't, like we've never met the family. [SPEAKER_00]: We'll see that's different if you don't know the family. [SPEAKER_01]: But I know the kid, like we've hung out with the kid before, but the kid's that's our pretty one. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it felt like a very safe environment. [SPEAKER_00]: But anyway, I laugh because you're good at that knowledge. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I can tell. [SPEAKER_01]: I have a good sense. [SPEAKER_01]: And I went to Walmart and then I felt bad. [SPEAKER_01]: And so I drove back there. [SPEAKER_01]: And so I was gone for like 40 minutes. [SPEAKER_01]: And then I went back and stayed for the rest of the party. [SPEAKER_01]: But all that disabled I was there. [SPEAKER_01]: Um, yes. [SPEAKER_01]: I think I was okay to drop her off. [SPEAKER_01]: Emily thinks I should stay. [SPEAKER_00]: Did you did you think of putting it on Emily like Making it a big deal that Emily missed her first drop off birthday party like it was a big stage of development that Emily just missed No, she had only that was there [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I don't have that's actually now that you bring it up. [SPEAKER_01]: She's had drop-off play dates. [SPEAKER_01]: But now she never had a drop-off birthday. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if she's ever had like Emily, I guess all that does always stay. [SPEAKER_01]: But Emily, you know it's bad when I'm like, call me on the text and me when I was in the car and she's like how how how how is it going? [SPEAKER_01]: And I said, and I said, you know, I just dropped her off face happy because at this point, I didn't realize I wasn't supposed to drop her off. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, because you're now the debt, you're now the parent that's free that has no responsibility to do whatever you want. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: And, and, and then Emily really called me and she never calls me. [SPEAKER_01]: So you called me. [SPEAKER_01]: It's like, are you serious? [SPEAKER_01]: Did you just drop her off? [UNKNOWN]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Um, so anyway. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I didn't say I went back early. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm on your side with this one by the way. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay. [SPEAKER_01]: There was an order lady there. [SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't matter the age, but I think she was like the grandmother something and and I was wearing in my orals hat. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, and she looked at me and said, Oh, Oh, I do not like you guys. [SPEAKER_01]: I do not like you guys. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, and you let fail on with this person. [SPEAKER_01]: And I said, I said, the Orioles, he said, yes, I do not like the Orioles, and then she said, I bet you know what, what team I'm a fan of, don't like the Orioles. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, like if you're in Georgia, like you just default assume you're a brave's fan. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so I said, well, are you brave's fan? [SPEAKER_01]: He said, no, I really don't like the Orioles though. [SPEAKER_01]: I said, well, what team? [SPEAKER_01]: Just what fan base wouldn't not like the Orioles. [SPEAKER_01]: I think it's really can't be like a Yankees or Red Sox fans. [SPEAKER_01]: You guys, right, I wouldn't get your phone in the news. [SPEAKER_00]: No, because Yankees Red Sox won't say it that way. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, they don't care about Red Sox. [SPEAKER_00]: And to say it that way is a odd... [SPEAKER_00]: out team. [SPEAKER_00]: She felt like the world has personally attacked her team. [SPEAKER_00]: Or else have personally attacked her team. [SPEAKER_00]: See, I'm trying to think like it's personal. [SPEAKER_00]: It wouldn't be, it wouldn't be the meds. [SPEAKER_00]: No, it wouldn't. [SPEAKER_00]: It's it the meds. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: I was thinking the meds was the first one that came to mind, but I think of meds fans as also having a little bit of that swagger of being up north, like a Yankee or Red Sox or Doriel's fan. [SPEAKER_01]: But you know why, because Peter Lont had it. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, okay. [SPEAKER_00]: He's a real person. [SPEAKER_00]: He's a real person. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: I, I, I, I, two, one of my students from New York and she's a big meds fan. [SPEAKER_01]: And so, um, I was, I, and I hadn't taught her in a semester, but she's looking for a job. [SPEAKER_01]: So she asked, you know, to be a recommendation. [SPEAKER_01]: And I said, yes, and I said, you know, I'm going to good mood. [SPEAKER_01]: This happened just last night. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to good mood because your boy Peter Lanzo just hit a game when in home run for the Orioles. [SPEAKER_01]: And she's like, yeah, she's like, I was devastated when we lost him. [SPEAKER_01]: He's like, he's not just a great player. [SPEAKER_01]: He's just a great person and human. [SPEAKER_01]: Right. [SPEAKER_01]: And so the Metz fans really loved Peter Lanz. [SPEAKER_00]: Did you see the Peter Lanzo in the dogs video going on today? [SPEAKER_01]: No. [SPEAKER_00]: He was at the SPCA and just enjoyed all the dogs. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay. [SPEAKER_00]: Now, I've, I've run into some matchfans. [SPEAKER_00]: And when I talk to Metzans down here, I always go to the same line and it never works. [SPEAKER_00]: Where I always say, yeah, I'm an Orioles fan, but hey, here Metzfans, how much fun was book show water? [SPEAKER_00]: And like, we love book show water. [SPEAKER_00]: Metzfans just like, no. [SPEAKER_00]: What? [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it didn't work out. [SPEAKER_00]: They didn't work out there, so they don't enjoy him the way we do. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: You know, I don't enjoy this picture of picture right now. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, whatever his name is. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, racket, racket, racket. [SPEAKER_01]: And then you thought, oh, they came back, seven, made, made, made, made, made, made, made it. [SPEAKER_01]: And then Peter Lanzo hit his first meaningful home run for the Orioles. [SPEAKER_00]: And we were, yeah, and we were texting all through the game. [SPEAKER_00]: And it wasn't Gunner Henderson. [SPEAKER_00]: It wasn't, it was the back of the line up, carrying the team, and then a Lanzo and coming up at the end. [SPEAKER_00]: And it felt special. [SPEAKER_00]: It felt like what we've been hoping for for this team, [SPEAKER_00]: all season because Kramer wasn't great, and you kind of just, the
