[SPEAKER_03]: We're not going to, yeah, we're not going to do a special extra episode previewing the Raven Steelers match up.

[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I'm glad there's another game that matters.

[SPEAKER_02]: Are you though?

[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.

[SPEAKER_03]: Don't you feel like I feel like it's a Baltimore sports fan this year.

[SPEAKER_03]: I have been tortured enough and this feels like one last little thing to torture me with.

[SPEAKER_03]: to hear just end out this, the seasons of Ravens and Orals.

[SPEAKER_02]: This year has been enough to frustrate me, to get on both, get on and off of the fire harbault trains and the get rid of Lamar trains.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: That I end up in this season having frustrated with both of those guys enough, that part of you wants like just the season to end because you sneak into the playoffs and oh, everything's okay.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's true.

[SPEAKER_03]: Whoever I texted you, it feels like the coaches, but whoever loses Tot-Tamlin or Harabug, it's fire.

[SPEAKER_03]: These are too long, tenured coaches.

[SPEAKER_02]: Right.

[SPEAKER_02]: Both of them.

[SPEAKER_03]: That's how they feel.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_03]: But you're right.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's hard to fire someone if you make the playoffs.

[SPEAKER_02]: No, you don't.

[SPEAKER_02]: And you don't.

[SPEAKER_02]: And it's hard not to give Lamar your extension that he wants.

[SPEAKER_02]: If he doesn't make the playoffs, even if he only played half the games.

[SPEAKER_03]: Well, you need to give an extension either way because Caproom and stuff.

[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.

[SPEAKER_03]: So it's really, it's a, it's really, and all the Lamar's stories are just absolutely fascinating.

[SPEAKER_03]: Like if I wasn't a Raven's fan and a little bit too close to it, I would be entertained by all the stories and they're interesting, but as a fan, it's more frustrating.

[SPEAKER_02]: I made a joke about on Twitter, I just put, hey, I wonder what video game Lamar got for Christmas this year.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and I got people messaging me that story's fake.

[SPEAKER_02]: That's all lies and it's like no guys Like pressons we all have been frustrated and hate things pressing is wrote in the house The hate presses are well known as salvage haters.

[SPEAKER_03]: He's yeah, he's a eater.

[SPEAKER_02]: He tried every month for 25 years It's not like he just it's not some guy that just makes things up There's at least a little bit of truth.

[SPEAKER_02]: He may expand it, but there's always a little bit of truth in these stories

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but you remember we remember we ripped the video game systems out of our locker room because they were too much of a distraction And Lamar made it sound like he was the leader that made that call to get him out Yeah, he did the ping-pong tape with all of his Lamar got them out.

[SPEAKER_02]: All right, right He said we would make it down.

[SPEAKER_02]: He said it was no no no no no.

[SPEAKER_02]: He said it was what he didn't tell us is that he was the one distracted

[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, if he's out late, if he is too tired coming to practice, then Medan said he is fallen asleep or starting to dose out because he was up all night playing video games.

[SPEAKER_02]: I'm guessing that's what he does in the clubhouse too.

[SPEAKER_03]: Here's what I don't understand the Josh here is the other part of it though to just get to his level.

[SPEAKER_03]: I was watching it's wild with the NFL is right now because there's so many like third string quarterbacks in there.

[SPEAKER_03]: And if you watched over the holidays, some of these football games with the Vikings and stuff, these third string quarterbacks.

[SPEAKER_02]: Well, even if you get to 100 yards.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, even the Rames game.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's it's so clear.

[SPEAKER_03]: We I mean, it's in the midst of hating on Lamar It's so clear the alternative is a lot worse of a QB There's very few really good QB's but I look at Lamar and I see When I see him play, I don't see a really smart quarterback.

[SPEAKER_02]: What if he studied a little more so that he could look all of his progression stem instead of just running out with the ball? [SPEAKER_03]: just because I just disagree. [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I don't think you can get to the point where Lamar's at without being a disciplined person, without being someone who does, who does, who puts in the work. [SPEAKER_03]: We talk about each, which we come in with a little bit more muscle, when you're he was leaner to be faster, I think he's someone who does work on his body, work it's in the office, and prepares himself well. [SPEAKER_03]: I think that can be true, and he can also stay up late playing video games. [SPEAKER_03]: Think both things can be true. [SPEAKER_03]: I think you can prefer African practices and not be a morning person. [SPEAKER_03]: I think both things can be true. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but I'll tell you, change in the entire team schedule. [SPEAKER_02]: And because the quarterback wants to sleep in. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but silly. [SPEAKER_03]: I feel there's more to that story too, as well, because John Harball is an old school coach. [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, he's kicked people out of the locker room for not kind of fallen in line. [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, you go bail they back to that. [SPEAKER_02]: But John Harball changed. [SPEAKER_02]: Once we transitioned from Joe to Lamar. [SPEAKER_03]: Well, he's still in times. [SPEAKER_03]: He's still not the, uh, I mean, he's not the bread and hide player first friendly coach like he has I feel like he is not like that unless he's changed complete life past a couple years. [SPEAKER_02]: I think John Harball is careful what he says at the podium. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, not upset Lamar. [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah, I mean Lamar. [SPEAKER_02]: He is very delicate with Lamar. [SPEAKER_02]: I completely agree and I as he should be because no, no, if the Mars a problem you go ahead and call out Lamar Oh, I don't care that he's the most talented guy. [SPEAKER_02]: We've seen Lamar concerns me that he is all this talent [SPEAKER_02]: And that talent is going to, you have to adjust, he does not look to me like a guy who's going to be in the league for 15 years, 20 years, because once the speed and natural gifts back off a little bit from being young, as he gets old, like all of us, I don't think he can transition unless he starts studying and working out, and he's got to find a way to be healthy. [SPEAKER_03]: oh my gosh the amount of assumptions you're making about how about his work at routine Josh and this is all based of what a bad half a season of one bad year in the midst of his career what I mean time will tell I'm listening to me why every time he's up for a new contract he misses like three four games [SPEAKER_03]: for new contract, he misses three or four games. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I totally get. [SPEAKER_02]: He's healthy and less it's a contract year. [SPEAKER_02]: And less he's up for an extension or something. [SPEAKER_03]: Then he's a new extension. [SPEAKER_02]: I know, I think he's more sensitive with his body. [SPEAKER_02]: I think most quarterbacks would have played last week with the season on the line. [SPEAKER_02]: But I mean, I had a sore back and wants to be healthy next year. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's really hard from the outside. [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I agree with you in the sense that I thought he should have played, but I don't know. [SPEAKER_03]: Like a back contusion seems like a little boobo on your back and you can play through it. [SPEAKER_03]: But obviously, I'm not experienced with Lamar. [SPEAKER_03]: And if you're re-behaving to the lines, it seems like John Harbaw thought Lamar should be able to play as well. [SPEAKER_02]: No, and that's been Lamar. [SPEAKER_02]: that's been a problem with our ball and that's what I'm saying where he is soft on the podium where there are many times where he's up there thinking Lamar's gonna play it on Sunday and then suddenly Sunday Lamar's not playing. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah and we've talked about in years past the illnesses are ridiculous. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he doesn't even, I don't know how small a children he has at home, but even me with all these small kids, I don't get sick as much as Lamar. [SPEAKER_02]: No, because you sleep, sleep is important. [SPEAKER_03]: Again, there might be other factors that lead to the other course. [SPEAKER_03]: But the reality was, you can excuse missing practice, missing even a gamer to if you're playing an elite level. [SPEAKER_03]: The problem is Lamar, the only reason all this stuff is coming out now is to Lamar has struggled with this issue. [SPEAKER_03]: And then everything, it all falls apart and you have a little bit of struggle. [SPEAKER_02]: Yes. [SPEAKER_02]: That's the point as well. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but the reality is the Ravens can't move on from Lamar. [SPEAKER_03]: No. [SPEAKER_03]: It's Lamar's their guy. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I want to we're recording this on Monday morning and part of me wants to flip on over to Give all my phone and pull up bottom or sports talk because I'm seeing it online at people's table We need to hauntly to start next week and it's like no no [SPEAKER_02]: Do we need to give the ball more to Henry even when Lamar's back there? [SPEAKER_03]: Yes, yes, I think when people what why people went Huntley and I'm I'm a little bit on that camp too is just because it forces John Harbaugh to give Henry the ball 30 40 times Because he knows he doesn't have Lamar there correct and we want that. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so just if they but have at Lamar Jackson play With the game plan as the Huntley's in there [SPEAKER_02]: right now they try to get cute once in a while and be like all right Henry's off for the for this set of downs so we're gonna let Mitchell in there and that didn't work but they made the decision to bring Henry in on some of those close place when they needed it yeah the problem was big improvement problem is two weeks ago they had a stupid script where a series Henry would have it and a series Mitchell would have it which which not that's how you coach little league [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that's it. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, you get this in and I'll take the You switch to next in and miss it now you do the NFL. [SPEAKER_03]: Well, and maybe the first quarter you have that script or something Right, and when things get real things get serious like you go with the better player who's playing better.
